Ann Hermes Miniature Quilts
Folk Art from Pennsylvania’s Past

Inspired by our rich American quilting heritage, quilt designer Ann Hermes presents miniature quilts handmade from authentic antique fabrics.

"Drawing from my study of antique quilts and extensive antique fabric collection, I design and make unique pieces of American folk art in the form of miniature quilts.   I  find inspiration for my little quilts from the past--sometimes from a glorious antique quilt but just as often from a worn-out quilt fragment.    I use antique  and vintage fabrics collected from many sources to make my little quilts.
My work has been published  in numerous magazines including  American Patchwork and Quilting, Fons and Porter Easy Quilts, Quilt Almanac, Small Quilts, Patchwork Quilting, Quilt Magazine, and Quick Quilts.  Collectors from Pennsylvania to Texas to Australia have purchased my work.
